But wait. That's not the end of the story. The laser they send over the pairs only checks them in the middle, so while there isn't an extra full chromosome, there could still be an extra bit missing on the top or bottom, or an extra bit tagging on to the bottom that the laser couldn't see.
The full results will be in sometime around Jan. 20, but we will see our specialist on Jan. 25 so he can read them and explain what he sees. There's still the chance that there are abnormalities somewhere, and the full results we get then will tell the full story.
I'm really excited to get the results. We will get a picture of Mabee's DNA (super cool to hang on the wall of a nursery) and any information is good information as far as I'm concerned.
